I have been a member of Lean Training Club for 18 months. I had never stuck to a gym membership before joining as I often got bored due to the fact that I had no real knowledge about exercise or maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Since joining Lean I regularly attend classes and take part in the 19 days programme which combined have resulted in consistent improvements in my fitness and eating habits. The trainers are all always helpful and supportive and there is a real ‘family’ atmosphere which makes even the most difficult sessions enjoyable!

Being a members club gives you the mix of freedom to do your own thing and join group sessions where you will train with others - give it a go, you won’t look back !!
I started at Lean at the end of Aug 2016 having 2 weekly PT sessions with Izak, I had been to see a consultant with regards to having Osteo Arthritis in both my knees, he advised that the only cure for my knees was to have them both replaced but as they would be reluctant to do that for someone my age he suggested I build the muscles up above and below the knee to stabilise them as they would randomly and with no warning just give way, hence my journey with Lean. After having PT sessions for a few months I joined the Strength & Conditioning club, working out 4 – 5 times a week. I am happy to report that my knees no longer give way and I have improved over all fitness losing over a stone and half and a lot of inches. This said my knees ached constantly which has been the case for the last few years hence my visit to the Consultant, They would and still do swell up causing pain to my joints, I was taking too many pain killers in a bid to keep the pain under control and reduce the swelling. The first time I tried Cryo therapy was after a Strong training session, I saw and felt an instant improvement in the swelling surrounding my knees and they felt stronger, less achy and the pain was almost non existent. When I use the Cryo pool after training now my knees are almost back to normal in size and I feel energised! I can’t recommend it highly enough! And I have stopped taking painkillers!
